We are excited to share our new 2014 print/digital “Style Achiever” ad campaign which celebrates the game-changing impact of a well known force in the fashion world. Our editors looked for a trailblazer in the fashion community recognized for their unique sense of style, and for definitively leaving their mark on the world of fashion. With that in mind our pick was as natural as her fun and quirky sense of style; celebrity stylist June Ambrose fit the bill perfectly!
Known for changing the fashion game of music’s top names, renowned celebrity stylist, author, TV personality and all-around “style architect” June Ambrose has been a go-to style changer for close to two decades. With a powerhouse lineage of A-list celebrity clients including Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Will Smith, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Pharrell and Justin Timberlake, she has been credited for creating “swag” and style for many of the music industry’s biggest stars.
The energy exuding from the “Style Achiever” campaign stems from the vibrant color palettes, mixed with texture, volume and graphic play within the featured fur garments. Appearing as a spread in the November issues of Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country and as a single-page in the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar and Elle Décor, the ad features Fall 2014/15 fur looks from designers including Helen Yarmak International, J. Mendel, Libertine and Mathieu Mirano. Striking fur home accessories and accents will also be featured throughout the layout. A growing trend in home design, fur is a great way to ad visual interest and warmth to any room.
Recognizing women are spending on shoes and bags bearing luxury labels like Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermes, the new campaign aims to remind women that today’s fur fashions are exciting, chic and versatile, the perfect statement pieces to top off any wardrobe. The ad portrays a confident, accomplished and sophisticated Ambrose in key, real moments in her everyday life and in a range of scenarios, seamlessly incorporating fur into every situation and lifestyle move.
Whether 25 or 55 years of age, the campaign speaks to a wide variety of fashion-forward women at various stages in their own style evolution. The ad also features June’s 10-year-old daughter Summer, an up-and-coming fashionista in her own right, who has taken to incorporating playful fur touches into her look as well. Subconsciously, the campaign reminds us that today’s fur fashion is fresh, versatile and fluid which allows women to feel luxurious and have fun while making a polished visual statement–casual or dressy, day or night.
