What makes a woman beautiful? As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And as People names Julia Roberts the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2017 we thought we’d share some of our picks for the most beautiful women living today. Please recognize that this list is in no way exhaustive. The world is full of beautiful women….in all shapes, sizes and colors. So, to keep it all manageable, we’re going to break our list of favorites into age groups and we’ll present it in a series. Here’s our stab at a list of 2017’s Most Beautiful Women…
2017’s Most Beautiful Women- Seasoned Beauties
“So much has been said and sung about beautiful young girls. Why doesn’t somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?” – Harriet Beecher Stowe.
We’re awake! And we get it! As these gals in their sixties, seventies and eighties will prove, beauty does endure.
Coco Chanel once said “You can be gorgeous at thirty, charming at 40 & irresistible for the rest of your life.” We couldn’t agree more. But, as our list of octogenarians will attest, you can still be gorgeous into your eighties. These beautiful women are living life out loud, celebrating their eighties and proving to the world that beauty is, in fact, ageless.

“I consider the 70s to be the youth of old age. So all you women out there who are afraid of getting older, just keep your orgasms in place, eat a lot of vegetables, take exercise, and you’ll be fine” – Betty Dodson, American Sex Educator and author of “Sex for One: The Joy of Self-Loving”

In my mind’s eye my grandmother will live on perennially as she was in her seventies. I suppose that is because I remember her most as she appeared in my teen years. She was a beautiful woman, frequently told she looked just like Helen Hayes. But there was no mistaking it…she was grandmotherly. It would be tough to say the same about our list of beauties in their seventies. These women absolutely defy age in looks as well as in spirit and energy. For them, it seems as though the clock stopped.
