Timo Weiland credited the New York punk scene of yesteryear for their inspiration, but from the looks of it, the collection was much more polished than true punk! Perhaps, one sees the past through lavender lenses?

Regardless, the line-up had beautiful pieces that will surely start making Timo Weiland a household name… or at least a fashionable one. This young label is an equal opportunity label; it dresses all with equal ease. 

The line-up had a little something for everyone. Of course, the mood was young, the selection varied, and the message relaxed. Timo Weiland is an all-around label, one that can dress “His & Hers” with equal flair. The outerwear is its strongest note, as is the emphasis on separates. They don’t look at ‘matchy-matchy’ ensembles, rather at individual items that can work equally as a combo. 

This particular collection favored a grey scale of hues and fur details. No wonder the fur touches looked so amazing, SAGA Furs of Scandinavia sponsored the duo and helped them execute the looks. From Finnraccoon to fox and mink, the luxe touches made the defining statement. 

We liked the collection and what the duo has achieved in just a few years time. We don’t see much Punk inspiration in this collection, but as they say, it is in the interpretation. 

PS: Rumors are that the next Costume Institute Party of the Year shall be Punk’d themed! Are we going to be starting to see more Punk-inspired looks in the next sets of 2013-2014 Collections in time for the gala?
