Jerry Sorbara is a prince…and a legend.  Just ask any of his devoted female fans!   He’s Neiman Marcus’ exclusive furrier after all, and makes his mark season after season with complete collections befitting the NM client. From Classic mink coats to knit mink sweaters to colorful accent pieces, he’s the go-to man for the well-heeled and fashionable.

His trajectory is somewhat different from the fashion norm. He is a trained tailor who began working for a furrier and consequently mastered the medium and gained a deep understanding of the clients’ needs. Then in 1981, Neiman Marcus called…he opened his namesake salon…and fashion history was made. This fruitful union is still standing today and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

The Sorbara design is first and foremost practical, meant to be a good fit with the clients and their lifestyle….and to fit well.  That’s where the tailoring background comes in handy. Also, with over thirty years experience, there’s not one silhouette or cut he doesn’t know and hasn’t perfected.

We asked him a few fun questions too. With a lauded career comes a few fun tidbits, amongst them: think red mink accessories! This down-to-earth character is a gentleman and one that knows all the tricks to make anyone look like a million bucks.  And his cache of celebrity clients attests to his charisma and talents!
