The label’s DNA is well established now and it doesn’t surprise us that they are currently experimenting with new materials to complete the look. From printed techno-textiles to ethno-looking embroideries to varied material juxtapositions, the Custo Barcelona flair doesn’t pass unnoticed. It is a fan-maker par excellence.

This particular collection showcased fur as one of its main design components. Beginning with more conventional uses including collars, cuffs, and outerwear pieces, fur details found their way throughout the line-up… often camouflaged, even morphed, within various surface treatments. Not an easy feat, but surely one that inspires.

Labels like Custo Barcelona are all about youthful styling, yet there are always pieces within each collection that  work well with a broader audience. The Custo woman is strong and confident, and the label provides her with looks that clearly support her image. Some of the more “sauvage” fur pieces worked so well, especially given  the bold use of color, that their Fall 2012 collection shall surely find more than a few converts.
